The story
Ganter Restaurant Mohren sits at Pirminstraße 141 on the Reichenau island in Konstanz, serving a Badische kitchen built on seasonal produce. The Schlemmer Atlas gave it 2,5 Kochlöffel for 2026.
Peter Bogdanovic cooks here, pairing modern technique with classic Baden dishes. Käsespätzle and beef steaks with crisp fried onions appear on the menu alongside plates that are less familiar. The team works closely with farmers from the region, and much of what reaches the plate is grown on Reichenau itself.
Onion roast beef comes with port wine jus and crispy onions. Crispy fried pike-perch is served with a Riesling sauce and beetroot risotto, and veal cheeks arrive in red wine jus with parsnip purée. The Schlemmer Atlas singled out smoked duck, venison goulash, pike-perch and roast beef with onions. The menu changes with the season, so individual dishes may differ on a given visit.
The main restaurant seats 40 guests at nine tables. The Ratsstube is a cozy parlor with wood paneling from 1925 and a fireplace, and the smaller Ganter Stüble is rustic and seats 12. In warm weather, the sun terrace seats 80.
