The story
Anders auf dem Turmberg is a Mediterranean-leaning fusion restaurant in Karlsruhe, at Reichardtstraße 22 in the Durlach district. The Michelin Guide lists it as a Recommended address for 2026, and the Schlemmer Atlas gave it two Kochlöffel the same year.
Sören Anders runs the kitchen and hosts the room himself. Seasonal game is a recurring feature, and most of it comes from his own hunt. The menu moves between regional and international ideas, and the Schlemmer Atlas singles out veal loin and corn-fed chicken.
The dining room has concrete walls, wooden tables and deliberately simple décor, with armchairs in place of starched linen. The main room seats up to 60, and a climate-controlled side room takes groups of up to 25. In good weather the terrace opens, and the Hofbistro's terraces wrap around the hill with views across the city.
