A family kitchen since 1978

Konrad Beckmann opened the Beckmanns Weinhäuschen in 1978 with a short menu and a handful of wines. The restaurant has grown since then. In November 2015, his son-in-law Philip Beckmann took over the kitchen with his wife Lena, bringing a long-standing interest in seasonal cooking.

On the plate

The menu moves between Italian classics such as saltimbocca alla romana and a seasonal daily card. Truffle dishes come up often, and fresh homemade pasta and beef tartare are among the house specialties the guide mentions. Vegetarian plates lean on garden produce, including red beet.

Room and wine

The family lives above the restaurant, and that closeness shows in the service. The Schlemmer Atlas describes the house as warmly run and says the wine list is excellent, a good match for the menu.
