Cloud7 im Heiner's, at Am Bugapark 1d in Gelsenkirchen, is a Mediterranean-listed kitchen that received 2 Kochlöffel from the Schlemmer Atlas in 2026. It stands next to the former Nordstern colliery, inside its landscape and leisure park.

A washhouse turned lounge

The building was once the Waschkaue, the washhouse for miners at Zeche Nordstern. Materials typical of that era were kept on purpose and mixed with newer accents, and each area is styled a little differently. Guests can sit in a bright conservatory with a terrace, in armchairs, on sofas or at high stools. The bar has 36 seats, and the house calls it probably the longest counter in Gelsenkirchen.

Burgers, bowls and a set lunch

The kitchen keeps things relaxed. Burgers, bowls and fingerfood come vegan, vegetarian or with meat, and steaks sit alongside lighter dishes. The burgers use house-made sauces. A Quick-Lunch runs Monday to Friday from 12 to 2 pm, and Sunday brunch is 29.90 € per person. Anyone expecting a strictly Mediterranean menu will find a broader, more casual list.

Cocktails and live sport

The bar pours draught beer, cocktails, long drinks and gin. Football and other live sport run on several screens, with a beer garden for fine weather.
