The story
Crackers is an international restaurant at Friedrichstraße 158 in Berlin-Mitte, listed as Recommended in the 2026 Michelin Guide. It occupies the former Cookies Club, and its world cuisine menu runs from vegan plates to beef filet, with a bar that serves until late in the week.
Felix Klawitter leads the kitchen as Head Chef, having rejoined the team in March 2022 after three years at Orania. His earlier posts include Hotel Adlon and Sra Bua by Tim Raue. His cooking combines Asian and Latin American influences with a simple, precise approach. Vegetables and herbs come from a farmer in Krielow, Brandenburg, meat from free-range farms, and fish from wild catch or ecological aquaculture.
The starters include a tatar of beef filet with capers, sour cream and sourdough, and a burrata with shallot, chili and lotus. Among the mains, skrei from Lofoten comes with edamame, kidney beans and saffron, and the filet of beef is offered in two sizes. Vegetarian and vegan plates such as beluga lentils with pumpkin and feta, or cauliflower with red onion and lemongrass, give the international menu a lighter counterpoint.
The Schlemmer Atlas awards Crackers 2.5 Kochlöffel for 2026, describing a former club with high ceilings and an open kitchen. The bar pours re-interpretations of cocktail classics alongside house creations made with hand-made infusions and fresh herbs. A private room is available for group dinners.
