The story
Cookies Cream is a vegan and vegetarian kitchen at Behrenstraße 55 in Berlin, serving a World Cuisine tasting menu that earned a Michelin star in 2026. The upstairs dining room is reached down an alleyway, past a chandelier.
The kitchen builds its meat-free menu around a course sequence that changes with the season. The current autumn and winter menu, Luminous Roots, can be served in five, six or seven courses. Early courses include radish with ponzu and horseradish, chicory with tarragon and beurre noisette, and eggplant with carrot and chili. Later plates pair Roscoff onion with artichoke and alpine cheese, enoki with truffle and walnut, and pumpkin with quince and Jerusalem artichoke.
Signature plates are offered for a surcharge between 22 and 33 euros. The onsen egg yolk comes with seaweed caviar and sour cream, and the miso cucumber with potato crunch and seaweed caviar. A parmesan dumpling completes the list. The five-course menu is priced at 125 euros, with optional wine or non-alcoholic pairings.
The Schlemmer Atlas describes a door with a bell behind the Westin Grand Hotel, which opens onto a club, cocktails and seven courses of meatless fine dining. The wine list leans toward biodynamic and lightly filtered natural bottles, along with indigenous grape varieties and well-known producers. The room is air-conditioned, which suits a long evening at the table.
