The story
Barra is a seasonal restaurant at Okerstraße 2 in Berlin's 12049 district, serving a Mediterranean-leaning fusion menu that earned a 2026 Michelin Bib Gourmand for good quality, good value cooking. The small plates change with the seasons, so the menu depends on what the kitchen has access to.
The menu has listed focaccia with olive oil, trout with blood orange and trout roe, and tonnarelli cacio e pepe. Heartier plates include monkfish with potato, monk's beard and whey butter, and a Simmentaler entrecôte served with Goldies fries and black pepper aioli. Desserts lean on citrus and dairy, such as blood orange and brown butter ice cream.
Counter seating and an open kitchen keep the cooking in view, and the room includes a large communal table and a bar. The Schlemmer Atlas awarded Barra 2,5 Kochlöffel for 2026, citing a small seasonal menu, quality ingredients at the center of the kitchen, and supply partnerships built on sustainability. The wine list is arranged by the glass and by the bottle, with a separate no and low alcohol selection that includes a verjus spritz and an earl grey kombucha.
