The story
Restaurant 136 is a Peruvian and Italian fusion restaurant at Linienstraße 136 in Berlin, and it received a Michelin Guide recommendation for 2026. The kitchen works from a single tasting menu, with a vegetarian version available alongside it.
The head chef opened Restaurant 136 in September 2019, after cooking at Coque in Madrid, Hugos in Berlin and La Pergola in Rome. The Italian kitchen draws on Peruvian ingredients such as rocoto, ají amarillo and ají limo, set against Italian produce like Amalfi lemon and Tropea onions. The Schlemmer Atlas awarded the restaurant three Kochlöffel for 2026 and described its tasting menu as exciting.
The menu opens with ikejime hamachi served with rocoto, sweet potato, Japanese coriander and Amalfi lemon. Octopus arrives with Botija olives and ají amarillo, and lamb saddle with blackberry, Tropea onions and quinoa. Guests can add 10 g of Imperial caviar for €29. The vegetarian version includes a zucchini course with Pecorino Norax and chuño, and the meal ends with corn in purple corn, Pompona vanilla and chulpe corn.
The 136 Experience costs €136, with a wine pairing at €69.90 or a non-alcoholic pairing at €69.90. The sommelier selects Italian wines to match the courses and also creates cocktail and non-alcoholic pairings. The room includes a restaurant, a bar and a terrace, and the menu is valid from 1 September to 31 October 2026.
