The story
Taillevent holds two Michelin stars (2026) for its French haute cuisine at 15 Rue Lamennais in Paris. The house works in the classic French tradition, with Chef Giuliano Sperandio leading the kitchen.
The house rests on three things: generous cooking, service à la française and an exceptional cellar. Sperandio keeps to that frame while adding a note of inventiveness and unpredictability. Around Epiphany, he and pastry chef Nicolas Wictorsson reworked the galette des rois, replacing the usual frangipane with a cream of walnut and gianduja.
The list runs to more than 3,800 wines and spirits, from great names to lesser-known cuvées. Wine Spectator gave the restaurant its Grand Award back in 1984. Pairings are described as subtle and modern, in keeping with a classic French kitchen that still moves forward.
Service follows the French tradition, a ceremony meant to feel welcoming rather than intimidating. For groups, Salon Guimet is an intimate dining room upstairs for up to 12 guests. Salon Saturne, a historic room on the same floor, seats up to 36.
