The story
Auberge de la Charme sits at 12 rue de la Charme in Prenois, a few minutes from Dijon. The chef-led kitchen draws on Asian, Middle Eastern, North African, Italian and Spanish cooking, and it holds one Michelin star (2026).
Nicolas Isnard and David Le Comte lead the kitchen, and the menu changes with the seasons and the market. Nicolas's travels through Bangkok, Macao, Hong Kong and Singapore shape many of the pairings. Classic Burgundian produce appears with spices or less familiar ingredients that sharpen its flavour.
The kitchen reworks the classic onion soup, pairs oysters with Époisses, and serves sea bream with saffron sauce. Pastry dishes revisit childhood favourites, and Burgundy blackcurrant turns up in several petits fours. The two dining rooms have bare wood tables, wrought iron, old beams and stone, a fireplace and contemporary art, plus a private room for small gatherings.
