The story
Dvor, a Mediterranean restaurant in Split, Croatia, is at Put Firula 14, and Gault&Millau awarded it 16 points in 2026.
The kitchen cooks traditional Dalmatian dishes with a contemporary approach. The ceviche of fish, scampi and scallops comes in a citrus emulsion, and the prawn carpaccio is lightly marinated in citrus with orange pulp and dried olive powder. The tuna cannelloni, stuffed with foie gras and served with Jerusalem artichoke mousse, was the signature of chef Hrvoje Zirojević, who has recently left the restaurant. Osso buco arrives with potatoes baked in a ceramic pot. Reviewers also praise the rack of lamb and the wagyu steak.
The restaurant sits on the coast in the quieter southern part of Split, away from the historic centre. Tables in the courtyard garden sit among olive trees, with views over the Adriatic and the islands. The tables closest to the water are near Firule Beach. The indoor dining room is decorated to feel homey and luxurious at once. A private outdoor area can be reserved for celebrations, and the patio welcomes well-behaved dogs.
The wine list draws on Croatian vineyards, and the staff help match bottles to the dishes. Michelin lists the restaurant as Recommended for 2026. For dessert, the Cherry Lady combines sour cherries, whiskey and chocolate.
