The story
Laurie Raphaël serves modern cuisine at 117 Rue Dalhousie in Québec City, and the Michelin Guide awarded it one star in 2026. The dinner menu changes with the seasons and runs Wednesday through Saturday, from 17:30 to 21:00.
Executive chef Raphaël Vézina describes the restaurant as a platform for the work of farmers and food producers, people he says are too often overlooked. For 30 years the kitchen has worked with Québec suppliers to build a gastronomic cuisine around local ingredients. Each menu follows what the season brings, so the dishes shift as the produce does.
Imported private wines make up close to 80 percent of a selection of more than 500 labels from around the world. The wine list earned a Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence in 2015. Cocktails and food and wine pairings are revised along with each menu. Private groups of 5 to 18 can book a closed salon with its own washroom, and buyouts for 19 to 46 guests are arranged on request.
