The story
Oteque earned a Michelin star in 2026 for its contemporary Brasilian cooking at Rua Conde de Irajá, 581, in Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro.
Oteque is the carioca project of chef Alberto Landgraf. He and his team take inspiration from the purity of nature and work with high quality ingredients. Service is elegant yet casual, and the stated aim is to express joy, beauty and comfort.
Dinner is a tasting menu built on local, fresh ingredients, with ethical farming practices among the kitchen's core values. A sample menu is published, though it shifts with availability and season. The wine list is an interesting one, and a wine pairing is offered. The World's 50 Best Restaurants placed Oteque at number 37 in 2024.
