The story
La Paulée Marie-Pierre serves Classic French cooking at chaussée de Bruxelles 234 in Tournai, and Gault&Millau rated it 13 in 2026. The name comes from the paulée, the winegrowers' celebration held in Burgundy.
Chef David Huylenbroeck keeps the carte short and builds it around whatever is freshest at the markets. Gault&Millau describes a refined setting, a warm atmosphere and an attentive team that has delivered steady service for years. The wine list is meant to suit the delicate, elegant cooking. The Michelin Guide also lists the restaurant as Recommended for 2026.
The set menus open with Angus carpaccio and 50-month parmesan, or ravioli of royal sea bream with shellfish jus, avocado and artichoke. Main courses include low-temperature duck with redcurrant sauce, and cod with watercress jus. The longer tasting menu adds veal with confit aubergine and Ossau-Iraty. Dessert might be apricot with crumble and almond-milk ice cream, or a plate of cheeses. Each menu comes with an optional wine pairing.
