The story
Culinair, at Dronckaertstraat 508 in Lauwe near Kortrijk, is a contemporary restaurant that earned 14 points from Gault&Millau for 2026. The kitchen is led by chef Steven Dehaeze, whose contemporary cooking rests on experimenting with new products and styles.
Steven found his love for gastronomy and hospitality during his training at the Ter Groene Poorte hotel school. Gault&Millau inspectors singled out precise preparations, quality products, and elegant combinations on the plate. Michelin lists the restaurant as Recommended for 2026. Away from the stove, Steven and his partner Lisa Sibilla visit new restaurant concepts in Belgium and abroad.
A bed and breakfast sits beside the restaurant, so guests can stay after lunch or dinner in the same warm atmosphere. Each room has its own bathroom, air conditioning, and a balcony. Free Wi-Fi and a private car park come with the rooms, and a freshly prepared breakfast is served every morning.
