The story
Taberna Bask sits at Doorgang der Hallegasten 14 in Ledeberg, on the edge of Ghent, where the Basque kitchen earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2026. It is a sister venue to Bar Bask, and the menu is built around pintxos and shared plates, with a walk-in policy that suits solo diners and larger groups alike.
The pintxos include a classic gilda, tosta de chorizo and a barbecued oyster, with charcuterie from the owners' own farm. Raciones arrive for the whole table: pimientos de Padrón, BBQ mussels, homemade tortellini and Ibérico asado. The list changes with the season and with what is in stock, and natural wines are poured unfiltered.
Chef Florian Duyck works closely with the team at Bar Bask, and Le Fooding listed the restaurant in 2026 for its Flemish introduction to Basque cooking. Charcuterie is made from pigs raised in France, and pasta, focaccia, sourdough and brioche are baked or made in-house.
