The story
De Pastorie in Gent holds a Gault&Millau score of 16 (2026). It occupies a restored 17th-century rectory at Zevergemdorp 2, in Nazareth-De Pinte.
Chef Ruben Lamiroy cooks one fixed menu, which changes every six weeks. Gault&Millau describes the seven courses as balanced and flavourful, with refined plating, and mentions a low-temperature cod ballotine. The kitchen can only account for shellfish and nut allergies, so mention them when you book.
A trumpet tree stands beside the house. Old outbuildings gave way to a sleek dining section with a wine cellar and a modern kitchen. Inside, original wall paintings frame tables of up to four, and parties of five or more sit at the chef's table. In good weather, service moves to the garden.
