The story
Brasserie Latem in Gent, at Kortrijksesteenweg 9 in Sint-Martens-Latem, is a classic French restaurant that earned 13.5 from Gault&Millau in 2026. The kitchen keeps to brasserie traditions with a fresh, worldly touch.
The Taste of Latem menu costs €59 and includes two drinks. It moves from asparagus and smoked salmon to a presa of Ibérico with Bordelaise sauce, then to a pavlova with red fruit and strawberry ice cream. The omakase is five courses at €69 per person, built by the chef from that day's ingredients and served at the bar, at your table, or in the restaurant, with no printed menu.
The bar & bites side focuses on sharing plates, while the restaurant centres on classic brasserie dishes with a contemporary twist. In summer, guests dine on the spacious terrace overlooking the open grills. In winter the rooms turn cosy. The wine list is a draw in its own right, and bottles can be ordered online.
