The story
Brasserie de la Patinoire serves Classic French cooking at chemin du Gymnase 1 in Brussels, and Gault&Millau awarded it 12 points for 2026. The brasserie sits at the entrance to the Bois de la Cambre, just opposite the Théâtre de Poche, and is open seven days a week.
The French kitchen leans on tradition. The menu includes "Granny's dishes" such as roasted veal kidneys à la dijonnaise (30.00€) and meatballs in tomato sauce (21.30€), alongside Irish rib eye of about 350 g (41.00€) and a T-bone for two (87.00€). Fish appears throughout, from a fish soup (19.00€) to linguini with scampi (28.80€), and vegetarians have their own options. Gault&Millau describes the kitchen as honest and precise.
An oyster bar annex, the écailler, prepares platters of seafood to eat on site or take away. Gillardeau, Perle de Quiberon, Belon and Colchester oysters are among the choices. The spacious terrace looks out over the Bois de la Cambre, and Michelin lists the brasserie as Recommended for 2026.
An air-conditioned wine cellar holds the wine list. In winter, the terrace turns into an ice rink once the weather allows.
