The story
Brasserie de la Gare serves Belgian cuisine at Chaussée de Gand 1430, in Berchem-Sainte-Agathe, Brussels. Gault&Millau scored it 12.5 in 2026.
The kitchen runs on a "fait maison" principle, with classic Belgian cooking at its core. Gault&Millau calls it an unvarnished Brussels brasserie where regulars and the curious both come for dependable classics. It singles out a puff pastry of poularde with mushrooms, generously filled. The Michelin Guide also lists the address as Recommended for 2026.
The building dates from the early last century. When it was renovated in 1995, the columns, wooden banquettes and tiled floor stayed. The bar was rebuilt with woodwork from a château. Paintings by Paul Vankueken, known in central Brussels as president of the Vismet, decorate the walls.
