The story
Auberge Napoleon in Brussels is a French-Belgian restaurant that earned 14 points from Gault&Millau for 2026. It lists its address as Bouchoutlaan 1, Meise, 1860. The kitchen works in the classic French and Belgian tradition, with a menu of starters, main courses, grill dishes and desserts.
Chef Nico Struelens and his team update the traditional French-Belgian repertoire with contemporary, carefully plated dishes. Everything is made in-house from fresh ingredients. The kitchen focuses on classic preparations, so familiar techniques stay at the centre of each plate.
Gault&Millau singles out the chateaubriand of Simmental beef, which it describes as juicy and full of flavour. It arrives with bearnaise and crispy fries. The Michelin Guide lists the restaurant as Recommended for 2026.
The building was renovated in 2011 and given a bright, contemporary interior in 2022. A covered terrace and an outdoor terrace, surrounded by greenery, opened in spring 2018 and now host larger gatherings such as communions and weddings. The wine list mixes well-known classics with newer discoveries. There is a large private car park, and the premises are wheelchair accessible.
