The story
FIVE is the restaurant of Guarda Golf Hotel & Residences, at Route des Zirès 14 in Crans-Montana, Switzerland. Its Lebanese kitchen is designed for sharing, and Gault&Millau awarded it 14 points in 2026. Michelin lists it as Recommended the same year.
Dishes arrive as mezze to share, starting with beetroot hummus and moving to crisp börek filled with two kinds of cheese. Stuffed vine leaves with pomegranate seeds and caramelised aubergine with date paste follow. The format suits a long lunch on the large terrace.
Chef Félicien Christe and his brigade grill wild sea bass fillet with Jerusalem artichoke and a citrus sauce vierge. The lamb, braised until very tender and served with aubergine purée and mint yogurt, was the reviewer's highlight of the evening. Dessert is a chocolate chestnut moelleux with rum-flavoured cream and chestnut ice cream.
