The story
Das kleine Restaurant, at An der Untertrave 39 in Lübeck, cooks North German and Mediterranean dishes and earned 2.5 Kochlöffel from the Schlemmer Atlas in 2026.
Regional suppliers anchor the menu, from Eckernförder Matjes fillets with green butter beans to Büsumer shrimp on dark rye. Steaks arrive with a jacket potato and herb butter, while the shrimp pan and tagliatelle show the Mediterranean side of the kitchen. Lübecker Rote Grütze with vanilla sauce is the classic finish.
The dining room sits in a red brick gable house dating to the 16th century, with a tall Gothic portal and heavy oak beams left visible. Families, company groups and wedding parties can book the room for up to 35 guests.
