The story
Zenzakan on Taunusanlage 15 in Frankfurt am Main is an Asian kitchen with a 2026 Michelin Recommended distinction. The restaurant sits in the banking district and has been part of the Mook Group since it opened in 2009.
Der Feinschmecker's 2026 review describes an authentic pan-Asian menu with Japanese Wagyu beef and crisp rice nigiri topped with salmon tartare. Tuna tartare with wasabi guacamole, Thai prawn soup, grilled lamb chops and Peking duck with pancake and hoisin sauce also appear on the menu. The wine list offers 2,500 selections from growing regions around the world.
The restaurant covers about 2,000 square metres, and its rooms can be joined in different configurations for events of many sizes. The Geisha Room is a small burlesque chambre séparée for two, decorated with photographic art, indirect lighting and a chaise longue. Golden Buddha statues flank the dining room. Valet parking is available through the Ivory Club, which shares the building.
