The story
Mon Amie Maxi, at Bockenheimer Landstraße 31 in Frankfurt am Main, is a French brasserie and oyster bar that appears in the Michelin Guide as Recommended for 2026. It sits near the Old Opera.
The French kitchen sticks to brasserie territory: foie gras pâté, shrimp salad and Alsatian toast, plus assorted seafood platters from the oyster bar. The Schlemmer Atlas gave it 2.5 Kochlöffel in 2026.
The brasserie opened with red leather benches, tobacco-yellow walls and Thonet bentwood chairs. The team then rebuilt it within a few weeks into something far more ornate. Chandeliers and lush flowers now fill the main hall, and Aubusson carpets cover the floor. A second room seats up to 12 for business dinners or family celebrations.
