The story
PIER 6 serves international and Mediterranean cuisine at Barkhausenstraße 6 in Bremerhaven, on the harbor pier of the Neuer Hafen. The restaurant earned a Michelin Recommended distinction in 2026.
The kitchen builds its menus around regional and seasonal ingredients, so the cards change with what is fresh. Lunch dishes rotate daily. Seasonal menus, such as an asparagus card and a gin tasting menu, appear alongside the regular carte.
Groups can book a küchenparty, a buffet with several stations where guests watch the cooks, pick up plated dishes, or try the grill and antipasti stations. The restaurant hosts events for up to 100 guests and offers catering from finger food to full buffets.
The dining room has panoramic windows over the harbor. A large outdoor area sits directly on the water, looking out over the moored yachts. The Schlemmer Atlas awarded PIER 6 2.5 Kochlöffel in 2026, citing its multi-course menus and extensive wine list. Menus are available in English for international guests.
