The story
Fine Dining by Phillip Probst serves French and modern cuisine at Columbusstraße 67 in Bremerhaven, and it holds a 2026 Michelin Recommended listing. The restaurant sits on the harbor inside Hotel The Liberty, where its kitchen works in a more formal register than the casual restaurant beside it.
The kitchen draws on Northern German cooking and, according to Der Feinschmecker, regularly adds creative surprises. The young head chef buys poultry from Odefey and cheese from Waltmann. Two dishes from the guide's description are North Sea cod with chives and wood sorrel, and domestic venison loin with salsify, cherries, alliums and pine notes. Guide listings describe menus of roughly four to nine courses.
A glass partition separates the fine dining room from the casual restaurant. The bright space feels private. At the New Harbor location, floor-to-ceiling glass looks out over the water.
The wine list has grown, with strong representation from Germany, Europe and overseas regions, plus a notable range of sparkling wines. Schlemmer Atlas suggests the New York Bar on the fifth floor for a nightcap. The bar takes its name from the New York street of the same name.
