The story
GREGOR | 1926 is a Franconian kitchen at An der Promenade 6 in Bad Bocklet, near Bad Kissingen, and it holds 2 Kochlöffel in the Schlemmer Atlas 2026. The restaurant sits inside the Kunzmann's hotel and cooks with ingredients drawn from the surrounding Rhön hills.
Most of the kitchen's supplies come from the region around the hotel. Organic apples and plums are picked only once fully ripe, which short delivery routes make possible. Game is taken from the hotel's own hunting ground, and Rhön trout comes from nearby waters.
Roe deer saddle arrives with a hazelnut crust and wild sauce, while salmon trout fillet is served with pernod sauce and apple. Vegetarian guests can choose pappardelle with mixed wild mushrooms or a red curry with basmati rice. Crème brûlée and Kaiserschmarrn close the meal, and Franconian and international wines accompany it.
