The story
Bresca is a contemporary French restaurant at 1906 14th St. N.W. in Washington, DC, and it holds one Michelin star (2026) for high quality cooking. The French bistro menu applies classic French technique to produce from the mid-Atlantic and beyond.
Chef and owner Ryan Ratino cooks in the neo-bistro style that grew out of Paris, pairing French methods with local and international ingredients. Guests can order from the a la carte menu or choose the chef's tasting menu. Dishes shift with availability, so the printed menu changes from time to time.
Wine Spectator gave Bresca its Award of Excellence in 2022. The bar serves wine alongside dinner, and the full beverage list is available to download from the menus page.
