The story
Annabelle DC, at 2132 Florida Ave. N.W. in Washington, serves modern American cooking in the Kalorama neighborhood, and the Michelin Guide recommended it in 2026. The restaurant sits in a part of the city steeped in history and home to many embassies.
Executive Chef Michael Fusano, classically French trained at Le Cordon Bleu in Pasadena, leads the a la carte menu. His earlier kitchens include Sfoglina, where he won a Bib Gourmand, and Fiola in Coral Gables. The restaurant says its dishes draw on ingredients sourced both nationally and locally.
Bar Barlow seats ten at an art deco-inspired bar named for the poet Joel Barlow. The Garden Room and the second-floor Gallery Room, with its baby grand piano, complete the space. Wine Director Alison Sachs curates the list, which earned a Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence in 2023.
