The story
Élevage SoHo Kitchen & Bar in Tampa, at 1207 S. Howard Ave., is an American and Mediterranean restaurant that earned a Michelin Recommended listing in 2026.
The restaurant grew out of the traditions of Bern's Steak House, and its name borrows a winemaking term for patiently aging a vintage. The American kitchen starts with classic recipes that have fallen out of favor, then rebuilds each one component by component. The chef's stated goal is to take the iconic dishes diners have loved all their lives and make them the best they have had.
Wine Spectator gave the restaurant an Award of Excellence in 2023. Guests can sit at the bar, dine with outdoor seating, or book private dining for a group. The Mediterranean-leaning plates pair naturally with a glass from the list.
