The story
Lido Restaurant at The Surf Club serves modern Italian coastal cooking at 9011 Collins Avenue in Surfside. Forbes Travel Guide gave it Four Stars in 2026.
Chef Marco Calenzo draws on the seaside flavors of his home country. The Tagliatelle all'Astice is the dish to start with: egg pasta made in-house, Maine lobster and Trapanese pesto. The Cotoletta alla Milanese uses 14-ounce Limousin milk-fed veal with an organic rocket salad. The bluefin Tartare di Tonno comes with Pistacchio di Bronte and citrus. Desserts include tiramisu and pistachio profiteroles.
The dining room is the original ballroom of The Surf Club. Forbes describes it as bright and white, with a cathedral ceiling, arched doorways and windows, and plenty of greenery. The wine list stays close to Italy, with bottles from Umbria, Campania and Piemonte. Gambero Rosso awarded the restaurant three forks in 2025, its highest rating.
