The story
Tatiana by Kwame Onwuachi serves Afro-Caribbean cooking at 10 Lincoln Center Plaza in New York City, inside David Geffen Hall. The restaurant holds a Michelin Recommended distinction for 2026, and its kitchen draws on the neighborhoods where Chef Kwame grew up.
Kwame Onwuachi was raised in the Bronx and the San Juan Hill neighborhood. His sister Tatiana looked after him while their mother worked as a chef in the city, and the restaurant takes its name from her. The menu reflects what he ate as a kid: Italian bakeries, Chinese takeout, Caribbean roti shops and corner bodegas.
Small shares include fluke crudo with pickled Sungold tomato and escovitch, plus curried goat patties with green seasoning aioli. Larger plates bring braised oxtails with rice and peas, and fried branzino. For dessert, the golden rum cake comes with honey sweet cream and blistered gooseberries.
