The story
Le Jardinier New York, at 610 Lexington Ave. in New York City, is a seasonal French restaurant recognized as Michelin Recommended in 2026. The dining room sits on the ground floor of a Midtown building, and its menus follow what the market offers each week.
Michelin-starred chef Alain Verzeroli, a protégé of Joël Robuchon, created the restaurant as part of The Bastion Collection. He spent 18 years immersed in Japanese culture, and that shows in the kitchen's focus on seasonality. Executive chef Bastian Schenk runs the daily cooking, with pastry chef Salvatore Martone overseeing desserts and the bread baked each day.
The French classics anchor the menu. Pâte en croûte combines veal, poultry and duck liver with cardamom pear and pickled vegetables. Halibut comes steamed in a Champagne sauce, and wagyu bavette is served with cannelloni and eggplant caviar. Dover sole for two is also offered as a shared main.
Architect Joseph Dirand designed the building at 610 Lexington. Downstairs, Bar Bastion serves a shorter menu of small plates, including potato croquettes and wagyu steak tartare, alongside cocktails and mocktails.
