The story
Genesis House Restaurant in New York City serves contemporary Korean cuisine at 40A 10th Ave., and it holds a Michelin Recommended distinction (2026). The kitchen works from centuries-old recipes, reworked with fresh, locally grown ingredients.
The menu changes with the kitchen's own ideas and with the season. The dinner tasting menu reimagines signature dishes from traditional Korean recipes. The à la carte Yokitkeori Menu, built on seasonal ingredients and distinctly Korean flavors, is served at lunch and dinner.
Lunch sets arrive as a tray with fragrant rice, seasonal banchan and a protein of your choice. Cocktails and mocktails follow Korean flavor profiles and use ingredients such as soju. The wine list earned a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in 2023. The outdoor terrace is laid with white sand, gravel and greenery, and it looks out over the High Line, the Hudson River and the Lower Manhattan skyline.
