The story
Knox Bistro at 3230 Knox St. in Dallas is a French bistro that earned a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in 2024. It serves brunch, lunch and dinner from a seasonal menu, with fresh pastries among the morning offerings.
Executive Chef Armand Brunner trained at Ferrandi Paris and began with an apprenticeship at the French Senate, where he studied gastrodiplomacy. He cooked in Paris kitchens under Frederic Simonin and Pierre Sang and was sous chef at Le Beurre Noisette before joining Knox Bistro. Chef de cuisine Cedric Vernin, a native of Roanne, arrived in July 2025 and works alongside him on classic and new French dishes.
The bistro sits a few steps from the Katy Trail on Knox-Henderson. Michelin listed it as Recommended in 2026 and praised "this bright and breezy bistro." The wine list covers Champagne, the Loire Valley, Burgundy and Bordeaux, and the cocktail menu includes a Pêche 75 and a Dirty Horchata.
