The story
Mayha is a Japanese restaurant at 43 Chiltern Street, Marylebone, London, where the omakase counter earned a Michelin Recommended mention in 2026 alongside two AA Rosettes. Guests leave the choice of courses to the chef, who builds each evening's menu around seasonal ingredients.
Eleven seats surround a curved wooden counter, so every preparation happens in front of you. The courses move from expertly sliced sashimi to perfectly grilled fish, and the sequence shifts with the ingredients and the mood of the room. Plan for about two hours at dinner, and arrive on time, since every course is served in sync for all guests.
Lunch runs Tuesday to Saturday from 12:00 to 2:30 pm, with a set omakase at £100 that includes a selection of nigiri and a delicate dessert. Evenings follow the same days with seatings at 6:00 pm and 8:30 pm, and the dinner omakase is priced at £200. The set menus cannot accommodate every dietary requirement, so mention any allergies or intolerances when you book.
