The story
Dove serves modern British food at 31 Kensington Park Road in Notting Hill, London, and the Good Food Guide lists it as Good for 2026. Chef-owner Jackson Boxer relaunched the site in early 2025 from the former Orasay, and the menu still draws on seasonal British ingredients.
Boxer changed the concept when premium seafood prices squeezed margins at Orasay. The new Dove is a more accessible restaurant, and its menu now reaches well beyond fish. Seafood still gets careful handling, and the kitchen grills and steams it with restraint.
The crispy potato cake from Orasay returns deep-fried, topped with raw scallop, finger lime and chicken salt. Deep-fried Taleggio and Wiltshire truffle lasagne is a rich, moreish choice. Four king-sized red Atlantic prawns come grilled with smoked garlic and black lime butter. Steamed hake arrives with caramelised pumpkin, hazelnuts and mint. To finish, Estate Dairy fior di latte soft serve is served with early-harvest olive oil and oat cookies.
The front room is close, with wooden tables set near flickering candles, herringbone floors and squishy orange banquettes. The back has more space and a skylight, which suits a sunny afternoon but gets loud when full. The wine list starts from £35, with almost everything available by the glass. Non-drinkers have around half a dozen options, and Michelin lists Dove as Recommended for 2026.
