The story
Lido Restaurant in Bristol serves Mediterranean cooking at Oakfield Place, BS8 2BJ, and holds a 1 AA Rosette for Culinary Excellence (2026).
Head chef Pash Peters brings a Greek upbringing to the menu. Chargrilled octopus arrives with taramasalata and ladolemono, and gemista, roast vegetables stuffed with rice and pine nuts, comes with whipped mizithra cheese. The Good Food Guide, which lists the restaurant as Good for 2026, describes the food as carefully considered and full of flavour.
The restaurant occupies the first floor of a restored Victorian swimming baths. The ground-floor poolside bar runs its own small-plates menu. Guest-chef supper clubs bring a different style of dining to the room. A seafood feast in May 2024, cooked with chef Issy Cox, seated guests at tables of up to ten, with food served family style on sharing platters at £55 per person.
