The story
Mezra Yalıkavak is a Turkish restaurant at Dirmil Mahallesi, 6885. Sokak No:3 in Yalıkavak, Bodrum, and it holds a Michelin star for 2026. The kitchen cooks Anatolian recipes with seasonal vegetables and local producers, in a garden of seven decares that gives the restaurant its name, which means a small village.
Chef Serhat Doğramacı, a MasterChef champion, leads the kitchen. The fixed tasting menu changes with the seasons and runs 12 to 14 courses over roughly two and a half to three hours, with a shorter 8 to 10 course option.
Meat comes from a tandır oven in the middle of the garden, and keşkek is beaten for hours in copper pots beside it. Goat's milk from the property's own Saanen goats becomes teleme cheese, made in full view of the table and served with a sweet maya bread fermented from chickpeas grown on site.
