The story
Park Fora, a seafood restaurant at Muallim Naci Cad. 54/A in Istanbul's Ortaköy area, received a Michelin Recommended mention in 2026. The restaurant has served fish on the Kuruçeşme shore since 1996 and is run by Ali Rıza Yılmaz and İlhan Çulha.
The seafood menu follows what the sea offers each month, so turbot, sea bass, red mullet and sole appear in different forms through the year. Grilling and salt-baking shape the fish, and grilled octopus and calamari sautéed in a pan sit alongside lakerda, a cured bonito. Lobster and oysters arrive from the Saros Gulf, and Gault&Millau gave the kitchen a score of 12 in 2026.
The summer terrace looks across the Bosphorus, and the breeze off the water becomes part of the meal. As the sun sets, the bar opens with cocktails and a curated drinks list. Dessert ends the evening with chocolate soufflé and house-made ice cream.
