The story
Foxy Nişantaşı, at Harbiye, Mim Kemal Öke Caddesi No:1/D in Şişli, Istanbul, runs a contemporary Turkish kitchen that earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand for 2026, recognised for good quality, good value cooking.
The restaurant began as a plan between founders Maksut Aşkar and Levon Bağış to open a wine bar pouring only bottles they loved. The list leans on Anatolian grapes and natural wines, chosen for their origins rather than polish. The house idea of "good food, good wine" lets guests try their own pairings at the table.
The menu shifts with the seasons and is built on local ingredients. Dishes the restaurant highlights include hummus, topik, tarama and fried cauliflower. Gault&Millau has scored Foxy 11.5 for 2026, and the bar also serves craft beer, a Negroni-focused cocktail selection and a separate soft drinks list.
