The story
Guarda Val's gourmet restaurant at Voa Sporz 85 in Lenzerheide serves modern Alpine cuisine and holds 16 points from Gault&Millau for 2026. The restaurant sits inside a Maiensäss hotel in the hamlet of Sporz, above the Lenzerheide valley in Graubünden.
German chef Paul Berberich describes the cooking as Swiss Alpine cuisine with accents from modern haute cuisine. Gault&Millau singled out a pork dish from Alpe Piora, served as a dumpling with its ham, and a lamb loin from the Alpstein with beans, potatoes and a ragout of lamb belly. The bread is potato rather than sourdough, and guests keep reordering it.
The Michelin Guide lists the restaurant as a recommendation for 2026. From 11 October 2026 the gourmet restaurant closes for about eight weeks for its first major renovation, with a return planned from early December 2026. During that period the Bündner Stube Crap Naros serves breakfast and dinner daily, and the Chateaubriand and whole fish carved tableside remain available by advance reservation.
