The story
Alpenblick, at Oberdorfstrasse 3 in Wilderswil just outside Interlaken, is a contemporary Swiss restaurant that holds one Michelin star for 2026. The family-run hotel restaurant pairs a Swiss kitchen with produce from its own alp and garden.
Richard Stöckli leads the kitchen, and the hotel describes him as an award-winning chef. His cooking stays close to the region. Gault&Millau praised the summer menu for its local roots and technical polish, and awarded the restaurant 16 points.
Gault&Millau's review highlights an amuse-bouche of cheese from the family's own alp, served with sourdough baked in a wood oven and Nessler alpine butter. The veal contre-filet comes with a crisp slice of Landjäger and a deep jus made with Pinot noir. The pikeperch, announced playfully as "fish sticks for grown-ups," is cooked until just translucent and finished in a beurre blanc scented with lemon balm from the hotel garden. Dessert pairs peach with pistachio ice cream and a linden blossom jus from the tree in front of the hotel.
