The story
Dvor Jezeršek, at Zgornji Brnik 63 in Cerklje na Gorenjskem near Kranj, is a Slovenian kitchen that Gault&Millau scored 14 points in 2026. The estate has stood for more than 250 years, and the cooking builds on that history without leaning on nostalgia.
The à la carte menu and the tasting menus follow the seasons. Gault&Millau describes the kitchen as faithful to Slovenian cuisine while presenting it in a contemporary way. Fish, meat, pasta, risotto and vegetable dishes all appear on the same menu. Michelin lists the restaurant as Recommended for 2026.
Marinated trout comes with green apple gel, egg yolk cream and kale. Venison fillet is served with demi-glace and blueberries, and stuffed rabbit legs arrive with traditional sausage and black lentils. The dish that stands out is Jezeršek's šmorn, a Kaiserschmarrn that should be light, evenly caramelized and rich enough to carry the whole dish in one bite.
The property combines a boutique hotel with 18 rooms for up to 39 guests, a gostilna, conference spaces and Akademija Jezeršek. Business guests can meet in the gostilna section or in dedicated rooms. The grounds are also a popular setting for weddings, and the site offers outdoor seating and parking.
