The story
Tarasowa is a contemporary restaurant at Wystawowa 1 in the Centennial Hall Complex of the Wroclaw Congress Centre, Wrocław, Poland. It holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand (2026) for good-quality, good-value cooking. The kitchen reworks classic Polish dishes with local, seasonal produce, and the modern Polish menu draws on a restaurant that first opened in 1913.
The kitchen takes its cues from Wrocław's culinary history and reinterprets long-familiar Lower Silesian dishes. The menu changes every three months, so the lineup follows what is in season. Wines and beers come from nearby vineyards and breweries.
Beef tartare is served with chicken emulsion, cashews and marinated saffron milk caps. The czernina is made without blood, with goose hearts and lane noodles. Pike-perch arrives with crayfish and winter vegetables. Vegetarians can order the wege kaszanka with mushrooms, apple and Jerusalem artichoke. For a longer meal, the Flavors of Old Wrocław tasting menu costs 360 PLN and changes with ingredient availability, so mention it when booking.
Mint-grey curtains echo the hall's columns, and gold accents pick up the dome's glazing. Pale terrazzo with green flecks and deep wood give the dining room a warm, settled feel, with plenty of plants and a neon-lit bar. The terrace looks out over the Pergola and the Fountain. Gault&Millau has awarded the restaurant 11 points (2026) for its interior and atmosphere.
