The story
Koneser Grill, at ul. Ząbkowska 29 in Warsaw, is a live-fire grill restaurant that earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2026 for good-quality, good-value cooking. It sits inside the Centrum Praskiego Koneser complex, in what was once a vodka factory.
The kitchen cooks over live wood in full view of the dining room. The fire is lit in the hearth each morning so that by evening it has matured. Only seasoned Polish oak and alder go on the grill. The menu leans on smoke, grilling and curing, and the cooks adjust heat, smoke and aroma as the fire changes through the night.
The steaks are the centre of the menu. A Polish heifer rib eye is dry aged for 28 days, a club steak for 45 days, and a chuleta from a dairy cow for 150 days. Wagyu comes from Australia and from Hokkaido, Japan. Starters are lighter: homemade black pudding with pepper, quail egg and wild garlic, or beef tartare with mushrooms, pickles and bottarga. The menu changes slightly each day.
Original brick walls and cast-iron pillars survive from the factory, and the open kitchen gives the room its character. Gault&Millau scored the interior and atmosphere 13 in 2026. A separate Private Room seats 20, suited to long dinners with a larger group. The wine list focuses on small and medium producers, with biodynamic, organic and natural bottles, selected with importer Vini e Affini.
