The story
Asian Glories, at Westewagenstraat 74 in Rotterdam, is a Chinese kitchen that earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2026 for good quality, good value cooking. The restaurant sits close to the Coolsingel and has been run by owner-chef Kevin Fan, whose kitchen is known across the city for its Chinese dining.
Fan took over the Oriental restaurant his parents once started, and his cooking still follows the Canton and Sichuan traditions of that family kitchen. Gault&Millau gave the restaurant a score of 13 in 2026, pointing to traditional dishes built on fresh, quality ingredients. The menu keeps familiar classics beside a few experimental plates.
Peking duck pancakes, served with cucumber, spring onion and hoisin sauce, are the dish reviewers mention most. The dim sum varies from visit to visit, with the steamed shrimp dumplings usually praised over the fried versions. Recent menus have also included beef in mandarin sauce and an affogato made with black sesame ice cream.
