The story
La Mère Anne is a regional restaurant in Hoorn, at Dorpsweg 110 in Oudendijk, 1631 DJ, and Gault&Millau awarded it 12.5 points in 2026. The restaurant sits on the border of West Frisia and Waterland, in a dome-shaped farmhouse.
The menu is built on regional products with an honest origin. Guests can order from the à la carte card or choose the Michelin choice menu. The restaurant has been open since May 1945, and the Sijtsema family still runs it.
The farmhouse setting in Oudendijk gives the restaurant a cozy, rural character, and Gault&Millau singles out its attentive service. Five sommeliers, called vinologen, select the wine list, which aims for affordable bottles. Outdoor seating and parking are available, and the venue also hosts parties, weddings and large groups.
