The story
Oostergoo is a seafood-focused restaurant in Grou, the Netherlands, at Nieuwe Kade 1. The Michelin Guide recommends it for 2026, and this hotel restaurant sits on the water, serving lunch and dinner to hotel guests and visitors alike.
The kitchen cooks mostly organic and sustainable food, a focus the We're Smart Green Guide rewarded with 2 Radishes in 2026. Oysters arrive classic, with red wine vinegar and shallot, or with beurre blanc and smoked eel. Warm smoked salmon, fried eel and halibut with artichoke show the range of the seafood menu.
The terrace has its own outdoor barbecue, and the café has historic character, a private bar and a small toilet. A jetty is reserved for dinner guests arriving by boat, but it is not an official harbour, so book a mooring in advance. Parties and private gatherings suit the café well.
